Luckily, the hunt for the perfect dupe seems to be over, as Jersey Mike’s themselves have decided to sell its pepper relish by the jar.
Since when is hot chopped pepper relish a cult product?
Some may assume this condiment only came into fame in June 2023 when a Jersey Mike’s sub-order went viral on TikTok. The order, coming from TikToker @allyvhenderson, consists of a #7 Turkey and Provolone sandwich, Mike’s Way, with added mayonnaise, pickles, and cherry pepper relish, all on the Rosemary Parmesan Bread. Although this video may have reminded fans of the power of the pepper relish, conversation surrounding this topping dates back over a decade ago, with reddit threads and food blog recipes working tirelessly to figure out the recipe.
Hot chopped pepper relish for sale? I thought this happened already?
While Jersey Mike’s has sold its pepper relish since as far back as December 2023, the product seems to be so elusive that every time it’s spotted it’s almost like a new release. With every reminder made by Jersey Mike’s of the sauce’s existence, there seems to always be an “available while supplies last” disclaimer just to emphasize how limited this product is. One of the most recent reminders comes from California foodie @letsgogrub who recently posted a pic of the jarred sauce on Instagram advising fans that if they spot the sauce to “grab it before they sell out.”
The relish comes in 16 oz jars and is about $6 dollars each, depending on location. As well as being quite limited in quantity, these jars are also only available in Jersey Mike’s locations, so you best get in the car and get to Jersey Mike’s before they’re sold out again!
